Ephraim Adongo, a master’s student at the University of Cape Town (UCT) and member of AIRU, has been selected to attend the Mandela Institute for Development Studies (MINDS) Leadership Development Program (LDP) taking place in Cairo, Egypt, from the 25th to the 29th of August 2025.
The leadership development programme aims to equip MINDS scholars as agents for social cohesion and economic integration on the African continent through developing young leaders who can facilitate cooperation and growth between African countries.
Ephraim is currently pursuing his master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence with research interests vested in STGNN for share (JSE) trend line prediction. His mission is to provide African-centred technological solutions, centralising health and pharmaceutical resources to strengthen agriculture, by linking local farmers directly with reliable markets on an accessible and equitable platform. His work seeks to connect and network experts across diverse fields through tech-driven initiatives. The culmination of these efforts reflects Ephraim’s steadfast vision for healthcare and agriculture as fundamental pillars of progress in Africa and the Global South.
